Updated April 2018 The rising South-African based reggae dance hall artist born Tapiwa Ziyenge also known as *“Dj Duse” or "RudeBoi Duse"* was born and raised in Harare,Zimbabwe .Although spending some of his early years in Marondera, in Harare,he ws in one of the largest ghetto in the capital & stayed among a community influenced heavily by sport,art & culture 'Mufakose' populary known as 'Mfombi'. RudeBoi's love for music came at a very young age as he started playing piano in the school choir at a tender age of 10 years at Godfrey Huggins Primary School in Marondera,Zimbabwe.In the late 90’s he became a disc jockey as he played music in many different communities,clubs & parties. Dj Duse was a disc jockey for many years and in 2005 he was awarded by *Coca-Cola Africa as Zimbabwe's #1 Dj after he came out as the judge's & people's favourite in a competition held under the brand Sprite.*He then toured several regional & international destinations for the following years. Finally he decided to settle in Cape-Town in 2008 as he ws persuing a modelling & acting career to take his art to the next level. After some vocal coaching while in Capetown he wanted people hear him as a musician/artist as he thought many “ghetto youth” would be able to relate to what he has experienced or witnessed growing up in the ghetto. When asked RudeBoi Duse where he got his influence to do music he stated that Bounty Killa is his icon; however, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal & rapper 50 Cent has contributed to his influence/career. Since the rising of RudeBoi Duse career he has promoted his fellow countrymen trying to penetrate a Jamaican dominated International dancehall market. Zim-Dancehall is a new style of dancehall wer the riddims are made with a distinct African sound & the Dj delivers his lyrics in venecular 'Shona' language & sometimes chants in english or 'Patois'.He promoted then rising youth Winky D in 2010 to have the 1st ever Zim-Dancehall show in the mother city of CapeTown.
